Thank you very much to everyone who submitted for Volume 1, Issue 2 of Asphalt Sky. The editors will be evaluating the manuscripts this month and we hope to have our second Issue up in November.
As we get closer to an issue, I will post updates. Thanks!
If you’re into Facebook, say hi to Asphalt Sky. We’ve just created a group, aptly named Asphalt Sky, for contributors and readers of the journal. We’ll post updates on the submission cycle and you can get in touch with fellow contributors & readers. Check it out here!
As a reminder, if you’re thinking of contributing to Volume 2, you only have about a month left. While we’ve gotten some great submissions of art, poetry, and prose, we can always use more. Submissions for Volume 2 are due on September 1. Thanks!
As a small way to say “thank you” to our first issue contributors, I have added some links to their blogs and websites. You can find our contributor links in several ways:
I know Kate, Jo, and I are very thankful to these talented artists, poets, and storytellers who supported our first issue. I hope you will take the time to learn more about them!
If you want to become one of our contributors, submissions are now open for Volume 1, Issue 2. Please submit your poetry, artwork or fiction by September 1.
Our first issue of Asphalt Sky is now available. Simply visit the Issues tab on our masthead, and click on Volume 1, Issue 1. I hope you enjoy it.
If you do enjoy it, and would like to become involved in our next issue, I hope you will consider submitting your fiction, art, or poetry. Submissions for Volume 1, Issue 2 will be open through September 1!
Thank you for your support!
After a lot of reading and deliberating, our submission review process is over. Over the next few days, I will be emailing out more information to those who have submitted fiction, poetry, and art to our inaugural issue. Overall, we had a good batch of submissions and it proved difficult to narrow them down.
You can expect our first issue around late April!
